Kowing why, what, and how knowledge about literature review will not take one to be able to do good lit review. The way to learn it, is to DO it Students learned the five major types of literature. Take-home assignment requested students to specify good and bad examples of literature review and to give reasons.

A few tactics for good lit review are identified and discussed in class lead by Dr. Foster -- (a) logical organization of the arguments/findings, (b) with the most important ideas stated first.

作業2 -- 學習文獻檢索的技巧 --

1. 好的文獻探討需要有集結的概念，將相關的資料集合，用能夠幫助閱讀的清楚邏輯，主要概念優先敘述。
2. 好的文獻探討 -- 整合不同作者的主張和研究發現。
3. 研究的主張很清楚的陳述，並以評論的角度陳述，是好的文獻探討的要件。
4. 詳細不是文獻探討的缺點，不過如果探討的各文獻的詳簡不一，缺少整合的概念，則是不好的文獻探討。
5. 缺乏judgement，只是列出清單，只是剪接式的描述，缺乏critical evaluation是不好的文獻探討。
